Some cultures dictate that women must wear scarves to cover their heads because of religious reasons, while other women wear scarves on their heads because of how cold the climate is. No matter what theorize you have for wearing a scarf on your head you want to make sure that you look good while doing it.
The Kelly Scarf
This type of style is used to safe your hairstyle while traveling, but it is also used to help you look good while protecting your hairstyle. To crate the Kelly Scarf look you will need to have a quadrilateral scarf, but how big or small you want it will depend on how much hair you are trying to cover.
To fold the scarf you will want to fold it diagonally, so you want to fold one projection to its opposite so that you form a triangle. Now place the scarf over your head, but you want to have the folded edge facing the front, this part should be at the front of your hairline. Next, you will want to bring the corners down under your chin, but leave them folded. Bring them down underneath your chin and cross them so that the points are wrapped nearby your neck from each side. Finally, gather the corners behind your neck and tie them together to form a knot. You can leave the loose ends as they are or tuck them into the scarf.
The Crown
This look is created by using a rectangular scarf. It is called The Crown because once completed it forms a fabric crown on your head, which is great for those bad hair days. The first thing that you need to do is to drape the scarf over your head, but you do not want the scarf centered. You want one side of the scarf to hang down farther than the other. Grab the ends of the scarf at the nape of your neck and cross them behind your head. Next you will want to twist the longer end of the scarf so that it forms a rope, which you will want to lay this along the front part of the scarf about 2 inches from the edge. Continue twisting the long rope end of the scarf nearby your head until you meet the shorter end of the scarf. Next tie the two ends together in a knot. You can leave the ends loose so they drape over your back or you can result along the back of your head and tuck the ends underneath the scarf.
